Denon AVR-1611 Review: Hardware

This my current home entertainment hub, all of my devices connect to this and it outputs sound to my headphones or speakers and 1080p video to my monitor. Over a couple posts I am going to be taking a look at this complex device and give you a final verdict at the end. Today I am going to start with the hardware and functions of this device

This device holds plenty of components, up to four HDMI components, and two options from digital audio. The RCA inputs can travel along the HDMI due to the up-scaling. This converts the lower quality up to a higher quality for use on an HD television. The banana plugs for speakers are great if you move things around a lot, and provide a great connection for your speakers.

The nob on the right is for volume, it is not that sensitive, making it easy to make small adjustments. The nob on the right is for changing the source. As you turn the nob it shows on screen what source you are on. The rest of the buttons are self explanatory.

My favorite feature of this device is the awesome sound. The made my Bose speakers sound much better than they did with my old Sony receiver. Another great sound component of this is the surround sound decoding. The surround sound envelopes you in crystal clear sound. This is great for gamers.

This product packs the hardware necessary for almost anyone, and also has enough power for any speakers or headphones. Thank you for reading this post! If you liked it and ant to see more content about gaming and technology products subscribe on the right via E-mail, Google, or Yahoo.
